Teen Staff Application

Join Vox Today
Are you a teenager living in metropolitan Atlanta and want your voice heard? If so, join VOX Teen Communications, the non-profit organizer of VOX Newspaper -- Atlanta's only newspaper by and for teens!

Why Join VOX?
VOX is a great place to grow personally and professionally. Teenagers (ages 13-19) brainstorm the theme and ideas for articles for each edition of VOX. We write or create art, and design the pages of each issue. At VOX you can learn about journalism, graphic arts, photography, web content and design.

You can also meet people in many professions, work with caring adult staff and volunteers to develop stories, participate in and help lead community-wide workshops.

As VOX staff members, teens can also participate in our other programs and projects, like Graduation Countdown, peer writing groups, VOX Open Mic, Movie Nights, and more.

To join the VOX staff, you just need to fill out an application and mail it in, attend a new member training, and you're in! New Member Trainings are offered three times per year (August, November, January), and we take applications all year long. If you miss the school year training, apply for our incredible four-week Summer Program.

The Raise Your Voice summer program is a four-week workshop designed for Atlanta-area teenagers to
speak up and become active builders of a stronger community. It’s the only program of its kind in metro-Atlanta, offering teens the chance to work as journalists and community organizers, in a diverse group and technologically equipped newsroom.
